H A I R T U T O R I A L :: Easy Boho Braids

Hey, guys! Today I am sharing my first ever hair tutorial! One of the original reasons I started this blog was to share braids and other cool hairstyles (which I have been majorly slacking on) so hopefully expect to see more like this in the future! I think any simple outfit looks amazing as long as you have good hair, and braids can really take things to the next level! These boho braids are sooo easy, anyone can do them as long as you can do a basic braid! There’s nothing fancy going on here, even though it looks like you’ve put hours into your hair! Keep on reading to...

T R A V E L :: Boothbay Harbor, Maine

Hey, guys! Today’s post is all about Boothbay Harbor in Maine, AKA the cutest little town ever! Boothbay is an aesthetic little water town in Maine that is full of general stores, quirky little shops (including a whole store dedicated to whoopie pies), dogs EVERYWHERE (!!!), and good eats (especially if you’re into lobster). It’s a tourist’s dream! For the past couple years, I have been coming to Boothbay with my boyfriend’s family, who has been coming for the past 50 years! It’s such a beautiful little town, and we had so much fun, so you know I had to blog about it! Keep on reading! I got 1 scoop...

HAPPIE THOUGHTS :: Finding your Community

Hey, guys! Today’s post was sparked by a conversation I had with my best friend about a week ago, and then randomly again with my boyfriend just days later. We were talking about how every hobby or profession comes with its own little world, as long as you dig deep enough! For example, there is a massive “beauty” community on Instagram, and we all share products, hashtags, ideas, inspiration, and even certain terms that someone who wasn’t involved in the community wouldn’t know about. On the opposite end, there’s a kayaking community of people who know everything about kayaking, from obscure apparel brands to the rules of the water, and...

R E V I E W :: Maybelline MasterFix Setting Powder & Dream Brightening Creamy Concealer

Hey, guys! Today’s review is for two drugstore makeup products, both by Maybelline. Maybelline is probably my favorite drug store makeup brand! Not for any reason other than that everytime I go to Target to buy makeup, I always leave with Maybelline products (and Physician’s Formula, can’t forget them!). For this Target trip, I specifically needed setting powder and concealer.   When looking for concealer, I was looking for something with decent coverage, but also something that wasn’t liquid and creamy because I stopped wearing heavy creams last summer (my skin is 1,000,000 times better now, btw). I went with the Dream Brightening Creamy Concealer stick in the shade “fair”. ...

L I F E S T Y L E :: Hiking Mt. Monadnock

 Hey, guys! Today was the first sunny day in like 4 million days, so to fully embrace it, Jason and I drove to Jaffrey, NH to hike Mt. Monadnock! This was my first time hiking Monadnock, and it was hard, but absolutely gorgeous! I love hiking because the nature is so gorgeous, it’s FANTASTIC exercise, and because we got to make the most out of our sunny day! It’s so peaceful to hike and only hear the sounds of animals and running streams. That type of silence doesn’t happen often in normal life!However, Every time I hike I re-remember how challenging hiking is, and also how much coming DOWN the...

HAPPIE THOUGHTS :: I Hate the Rain but the Flowers Love it

Hey, guys! All I have to say about all of this rain is UGH. Where did the sun go???? I’m all for a nice romanticized summer rainstorm- the kind at the end of an extremely hot week when it starts down-pouring even though it’s still hot outside and it sounds #SoZen, but this!! It’s been raining for 40 days and 40 nights. I’m ready to be tan, to start wearing shorts, to go to the BEACH.  Everyday I’m so annoyed with the weather…and then I remember, it’s not just humans living on this earth. The plants, trees, rivers, they all need this rain. The rain is more than some picturesque...
